I’m working on some new music that I intend to release soon. In the mean time I wanted to share about a musical project from 2008 that has recently come to mind.

During 2006 and 2007, I was involved in an interesting album production experiment entitled SYNCHRONY.  The intent was to move the listener into deeper states of peace and balance. During that time, I was becoming more attuned to larger changes — global shifts on the horizon. I wondered how music and sound could engender balance — toward cultivating an inner peace and calmness that could  bring more consistent states of poise, grace, and acceptance.

I found that studies of energy stasis in the body and mind, including scientific research on the brain, had revealed that increased states of inner peace and calm resulted when the two sides of the brain were in sync, and additionally, when the in-sync brain was also in-sync with the heart. Ancient Taoist wisdom has centered on understanding the complimentary energies of ‘yin’ and ‘yang’ (passive/receiving/being < — > active/giving/becoming), and developed healing modalities out of this understanding.

The result of my curious exploration was the release of the SYNCHRONY album in 2008, a double-disc set whereby two CD’s could be played together, and heard together, both at the same time, balancing the ‘yin’ and ‘yang’ qualities of the body and mind. However conscious, or unconscious, we are finding ourselves in relation to what is quietly transpiring in the invisible plane, everything in our world is changing. This is apt to continue testing our centeredness, our sense of balance, and our calmness of mind.

I am wishing you states of peace, balance, inner calm and connection to source. From this place, we can endure even the most unexpected of change.
